[you might remember a pretty blonde girl fainting dead away on public broadcast. said girl is outside in a field in the Golden District, setting up a target and taking out a bow and arrow stringing one onto the bow, her stance is one of a master archer, if any, and the wind lightly tousles her short, gold curls into her face, however her face is, ( Read more... )

[ so much for her taking it easy for a few days... though he really hasn't got much room to speak, considering he'd be doing the same ]

It's hardly something you need to be apologizing for.

If I felt ill, I really shouldn't have made a broadcast. I suppose I've learned not to make such a mistake for my own kingdom.

But I'm alright now.

If you felt ill, the most appropriate thing to have done was ask for help.

[ definitely a hypocrite, he didn't even come to the clinic after Suzaku shot him ]

But I'm relieved to see you're doing better. I was worried.

Oh but it wasn't that pressing of an issue..

I'm sorry Kid, I didn't mean to worry you.

[ it was pressing enough for you to pass out on camera, princess ]

Friends always worry about one another.

O-Of course. Which is why it is my turn to worry over you. How are you?

I think it was comforting, in a sense.

If you are to someday actually become Death itself, then that certainly takes away the fear of it. I'm not certain if death is universal for all worlds, but when my time comes, I'd like to, after a peaceful reign, to be greeted by a dear friend.

I'm sure you will, Natalia. Live a long and happy life, and give Kimlasca a reign prouder than any other. And when the times comes, you won't have anything to fear at all.

But she still shouldn't have said things like that. I've done nothing so praiseworthy.

No, I won't. I---..I will have done my best, for everyone. [And him. And so many others]

I will create a nation where war never happens, and no one will be poor, and everyone will be equal.

That will be my happiness.
[she pauses, before blinking at him]
But haven't you? You view normal people like us as individual lives, instead of souls you'll have to retrieve someday. You view them with compassion, much like any ruler, even if you aren't exactly royalty. To have responsibility for those either weaker or in lower standing..I am not wrong.

Although, Nura is indeed somewhat outspoken, I imagine it embarassed you. She is not particularly graced in manners or social tact, she means well.

Both of us are in positions of great power. That is why I can say this with confidence.

[ Maybe hearing Natalia say such things aloud is what he needed, because a lot of the awkwardness starts to ebb away. Because those statements were true, and what she'd listed off... he had no nervousness acknowledging that he did view each person as an individual, and was proud of that fact. ]

It... did embarrass me, a little. And I was worried people might take it badly. It's not that I didn't appreciate the sentiments, but not everyone has such a sunny outlook on death as Nura does. Even people who're used to Father's presence in my world don't usually have a perception of it like that.
