[the video flickers to life, and the first thing that can be seen is the highly ornate entrance way of Splendor City Hall... which will probably be familiar to those who have been here for a while. for Kida... well, nothing about this space is familiar to him. which is why he's giving a rather confused look to the area around him. matching with it ( Read more... )

[ unfamiliar to Kida for the third time was the voice of Izaya Orihara speaking to him in this place through the seal. it was really kind of funny how many times he had introduced him to the place now. maybe this time he should make up some really extravagant lies just for the fun of it. it easily got boring explaining this place after all.

and when he said something like "if this was all a guy's doing," he couldn't help but think it might be funny to pretend it was his, at least momentarily. ]

What do you think of the place? It's almost like you're part of a fairy tale, right? If that's the case, you must have a princess to save. Unless it's you that needs saving... Kida-kun.

Certainly. If you're trapped here, then you'll have to take on the villain or villains responsible for it, won't you? Then again, you could very well be talking to one of them right now and not be the wiser.

Someone who likes music boxes I guess. [the smile fades a bit, a serious look on his face once again] I wouldn't be surprised if you were somehow responsible for this, though.

Yeah? It probably doesn't help my credibility that I know exactly what your situation is. Then again, who's to say I'm not in the same predicament? Are you just so fixated on my guilt that you've become blinded?

[ he pauses for a moment, speaks again more quietly-- more fervently. ]

[his eyes narrow slightly at the other's words, as he attempts to figure out what it is he's getting at. his free hand clenches into a fist, and after a moment or two of silence:]

Good. And Kida-kun--

[ there's the tiniest of flickers on the screen before Izaya appears on the seal. his eyes are off screen at first, the view too far up, but it's undeniably him, if the ringed finger resting on his knee is any indication. he tilts the seal into a better position after a moment, and there's no uncertainty left had there been any before. ]

If anything, I want you to remember this and to heed to it: be cautious of what you involve yourself in, because there's nothing you can do that I won't have my fully aware eyes on. See you later.

[his gaze remains off of the seal as Izaya begins to reply, however, the transition to video catches the corner of his eye and he brings his gaze back.

yep. there was no doubting it. it was definitely Izaya. the look on Kida's face remains hard as he watches in silence as the other readjusts the seal]

[his warning, however, manages to crack his facade a bit, and he gives a slightly bewildered look at what was just said to him.

the warning is a bit unsettling, however, he pushes the uneasy feeling aside as the hard look he had moments before begins to slowly regain its rigidness.]
