Post 001 - Voice [action?]

[After a few seconds of pondering, Kaldur finally decides he is ready to communicate. The seal responds and begins posting his voice as he speaks to it. It would seem as though he is speaking thoughtfully, not quite sure what the purpose of this post is just yet]

[Funny enough he actually had very low hopes of this working. So now he sounds surprised.]

Superboy? It is good to hear from you. What is your location?

[seethemoon]

I- uh... I'm not sure. Metropolis district, I believe?

Have you just arrived?

Hmm.

Yes, I just arrived so I am afraid I do not know the area. I suppose I should have thought of that before asking your location. Is that where you arrived at Superboy?

[seethemoon]

...Yes, more or less. I've been investigating around but I haven't moved much.

Have you met up with any of the others yet? Artemis just contacted me as well.

You and Artemis, so far. Maybe all of us will end in here eventually...

Artemis tells me that M'gann is also here and she has spoken to me. I imagine that means she arrived after you did. That leaves Kid Flash and Robin unaccounted for [Kaldur wonders if there's something ironic in the fact that the youngest and most curious of the group did not touch the music box...yet]

I hope that is not the case. I am not sure we can afford to have the whole team here and I do not want to think about what Batman will say once he does find out.

M'gann is here? Is she okay?

[He guesses it's normal for Kaldur to worry about what Batman might tell them. He is the one that assigns them the missions and takes care of them, along with Red Tornado. But Superboy is (naturally) more worried about somebody else might think...]

... Do you think Superman is worried about us?

She sounded fine.

[On some level Kaldur suspected that question to come, but at the same time he was still caught off guard by it. He could not profess to know as much about Superman as some of the others. After all, he had only met him a handful of times. He needed an answer anyway because Superboy would expect one. It was time to be diplomatic.]

I imagine most of the League will worry about us, Superman included.

[There was much he did not understand about the relationship between Superboy and Superman, he just hoped that he was right about this.]

...Yes, I guess they will.

[He knows he should not be smiling at that, but the fact that he has somebody at home that worries about him when he's not there makes him kind of... happy, somehow. Having a team is really pretty awesome.]

Maybe we should reunite while we figure this city out. I've been told we can't go back...

I was thinking the same thing. It would be helpful to know what we've gotten into.

[There is a stunned silence for a moment]

We can't go back? [pause, he grows more serious] That is troubling but all the more reason for us to get together and learn what we can about this place.

We can't, if I haven't been lied to. And everybody I've met so far seemed nice and helpful...

...[They also told him another one thing. But he hasn't had the chance to try it so far, and this was as good time as any. He takes a deep breath.]

I... I wish I was next to where Kaldur is right now.

[...and sure enough, he appears next to him. Uh.]

[Kaldur debated whether telling Superboy that just because people were nice did not mean they were necessarily being honest. However, he did not really get the chance to do this as soon he heard Superboy say something very odd---he wished he was next to Kaldur? Huh?]

Superboy wha---

[The subsequent appearance of his friend from nowhere caused even the relatively calm and collected Kaldur to jump a bit in surprise. He knew for a fact that Superboy had not dropped out of nowhere because Superboy tended to cause minor earthquakes when he did that. No, this was clearly some sort of teleportation and Kaldur knew for a FACT that Superman did not possess that ability and Superboy had not shown signs of it either. Was it this strange place then?]

[Being able to surprise their usually calm and chill leader like this made him happy somehow.]

I should have warned you first. I was told this city grants wishes... I guess we now know it's true.
