I can tell you what I know.

This is a city called Splendor in a world that does not exist where any of us are from. Everyone here accept the locals are also from different worlds. We are pulled here by a music box which I'm sure you remember encountering before your arrival here. Why we or here or the logistics behind our arrivals is unknown.

The locals do not acknowledge our presences but claim to be searching for a way to return us home. This is a city of non-violence and participation in violence will result in the locals intervening.

You can make wishes and they will be granted without a cost in return however they had a tendency to backfire if you aren't careful.

You should have a key around your neck that will tell you where you will be living during your stay.
