[The weather's agreeable enough. Which means Asch is out scouting the city once again, looking for anything out-of-the-ordinary. Only this time he's taken a birds-eye-view approach

[ Don't mind the little Fon Master boy going on a dazed stroll. His eyes are turned to the ground, playing idly with his hands. That was until he heard something on the rooftops. A little alarmed, but Ion is able to calmly glance up to see Asch.
Hope you can notice the little green guy, cause he'll be waving in your direction. ]

[Asch catches the movement out of the corner of his eye and reflexively turns as still as a statue. Way to go and blow his cover, Ion!]
[Asch frowns, clenching his teeth in irritation. It's hard to tell from this high up whether or not anyone saw. ...It's also near impossible to tell if this is the replica Ion or the original. The action seems more something the replica would do, but Asch wouldn't put it past that guy to pull on the cheerful "buddy-buddy" mask again.]
[The former God-General casts a backwards glance over his shoulder before leaping off the side of the building.]

[ Ion watches closely but is unable to make out most of Asch's reaction towards his small gesture. His eyes squint- only barely- before catching sight of the other male's movement.
The drop subconsciously moved Ion back a few inches, and his smile falters at the question. ]
Nothing in particular, though I'm more curious as to why you were on the roof.
[ It was a simple question, but a softness in his voice overcame most of his sentence. ]
[Asch doesn't reply as he straightens himself out and has a quick look around. Judging by the reaction, and from this close up, Asch decides the one standing there is most definitely the replica.]
I will certainly take your words into consideration, Asch.
[ His smile still remains. The shifting continues. ]
Still, I would like to continue to think positive of this place. Even-- [ There's a pause, almost completely unnoticeable. ] -- after so much as happened.
[All the shuffling is starting to become a distraction. Asch narrows his eyes at the replica Fon Master, trying to figure out what his problem is. He has a suspicion.]
Oh? Don't tell me you're developing an inferiority complex like some other idiot we both know.
[Asch is now looking Ion straight in the face. After a full minute he finally breaks away, grumbling under his breath.]
[ There's a small pause, all motions coming to a halt. ] Oh no, it's nothing like that! [ He meets Asch's gaze only to drop it a moment later. ] ... Or nothing I hope will come to that.
[ Ion only hears the grumble and stifles a tiny fit of laughter. ]
[Unamused Asch is unamused. The sharp look he's giving Ion should tell him what words don't. (Because he offers no words.) Asch doesn't seem particularly convinced either.]
Then what? [If it's "nothing like that", then what's it like?]
[ Oh dear, someone is a little angry. Ion recoils by drawing his hands together to his chest. There is a long moment of silence, almost as if he is thinking about an answer, but then drops his shoulders. ]
Everyone should be allowed to grieve at some point. [ A pause. ] There is really no excuse for how I have acting, and I'm sorry.
Hope you can notice the little green guy, cause he'll be waving in your direction. ]

[So he can afford halfway telling the truth.]
Well, someone has to keep an eye on things.

This world is rather peaceful, but you never know considering the people here.

Just because someplace gives freely and has no tolerance for violence, it doesn't make it peaceful.
[There's a lot of irony about this whole city. It's like some twisted answer to Asch's own wish.]
You people are all far too accepting of the circumstances.

[Finally Asch relents, turning his attention to something off in the distance.]
It's allowed, but it accomplishes nothing.

Yes, you're right.

I will. Thank you, Asch.
