[Sissel's wandering the halls of Carter Estate, still not quite used to the vastness of it all. He stops in front of his room and looks inside, still the same as it was the day he got here, save for the blanket

The house I'm at is actually pretty neat!

Yeah? What's it like?

It's got a lot of high tech stuff. A lot of it you can operate on voice alone... You'd think someone shelled out a lot of money for it!

That's impressive. What kinds of things can you operate?

And I end up in a mansion with a room that's bigger than I could ever need... Splendor sure is a generous place.

The usual things, like the lights or whatever's in the kitchen. It's convenient, but I have a feeling I'm going to start getting spoiled on this stuff... So you got a place in those mansions? They're awfully huge, from what I've seen of them. I don't know what I'd do with that much room.

There was a country like that back where I'm from. They'd use technology for just about everything... including a giant mechanical arm used to feed the head commander grapes while he was in bed. As long as you don't get that spoiled, I don't think it's that bad.

Yeah, some place called Carter Estate. But I can't really sleep in a place that big, so I was thinking of asking the others in the estate if they knew anyone who wanted my room.

Oh brother. That definitely sounds like someone going a bit too far with the tech. I feel better about myself already.

So anyway, where are you planning on staying then? We're all only given one key, unless you know someone else to room with.

[4beforedeath]

That key's just to get in the house though, right? Tsuna wished up some doors I can use to get in and out of the mansion without using it, so I'm fine there. And unlocking the doors was a lot of work anyway.

As for where I've been sleeping, I've got a corner in the main area that no one seems to mind me using. Sure, the room itself is even bigger, but that shelf is pretty cozy... and something about the sounds of people passing through at night is relaxing.

... Ah, I get it. You're not human, are you?

A cat if you want to be specific.

Now it makes sense. You were starting to sound like my own back home.

You have a cat waiting for you back home?

That's right, but even if she's back there on her own I'm sure she'll be fine. She usually handles everything she needs by herself anyway.

[Kind of sounds like how he's been handling himself over here.]

Do you miss her?

Yeah. But... I miss all my friends from back home that I haven't seen in a while. She isn't any exception.
