[today it is a very sunny day in the bungalow district, and you will probably see snakes. not any small number of snakes, mind you, but a rather large gathering of them, apparently sunbathing, and one scaled man contentedly sitting with them

Who is Jane?

[. . . looks at him for a moment, as if to appraise him. but points to a snake blissfully stretched out in his lap, as she is too busy relaxing to indicate who she is herself.]

This one is Jane, says Wilde.

[patchworkdoctor]

And who's Wilde? [He leans a little closer.]

[neverwounda]

[... leaaans away, motioning to another relaxing snake.]

[patchworkdoctor]

...Oh.

They tell you each other's names?

Why don't they just tell you their own name?

[neverwounda]

[the one on his lap stirs slightly.]

Must you interrupt a lady's relaxation? Asks Jane.

[patchworkdoctor]

What do they sound like? [He kneels beside Snake and his friends.]

[neverwounda]

[he shifts away from him a little, mostly to maintain his personal bubble.

. . . he doesn't seem to know how to answer that question, though. it's not like he's ever considered it before, since it's something he just... understands.]

Can you speak for yourself? Or do the snakes have to answer for you?

[boswell looks offended!!]

[boswell waves his tail lazily, as a greeting.]

[oh god he is so confused. It takes him a moment to realize the snake is Boswell. Stein starts to turn the screw in his head, regarding it.]

Do you all live together?

[neverwounda]

[............. well okay then. it takes him a moment to answer.]
