Mao's Battlebook: Entry 001 [voice/action]

Feb 23, 2011 16:07

[Mao is currently standing outside of the city hall, looking slightly confused. What is this place? How did he get here? ...He remembers founding a music box, but that’s it.

Not to mention, that this place is just weird. There’s no Gajumas around and it doesn’t even look like any city Mao has ever seen in Karegia.

But if it’s not Karegia, then where ( Read more... )

[he's been greeting a lot of people on their arrivals lately, and the usual YOU'RE IN SPLENDOR message is getting boring fast. Clearly this means it's best to spice things up]

Hello! I can tell you where you are, but how about we make a game out of it? I'll give you three options, if you can guess which one is the right one, I'll tell you more details.

[Wow! So this really worked!]

Hello.

[Okay, he is in need of information and not exactly in the mood for games now, but...]

...Um, it's fine with me.

[He, on the other hand, sounds pretty excited.]

Great! So, here are the three options. Think carefully, because each one of them actually holds a grain of truth.

Option a, this is a place where people who died have the chance to live again. In other words, this is the afterlife, and although maybe you don't remember it, you're dead!

Option b, you're dreaming! And since this is just a dream, anything you wish for has the chance of actually happening. Neat, right?

Option c, something caused you to reach a whole different world. Hard to believe it, but this is a place that lies beyond anything you've ever known.

Hmm... Let's see...

I can't be dead, I'm more than sure about that.

...It's kinda hard to believe it's a dream... [He's dreams are weirder than that.] But it's even harder to believe this can be some different world.

But I guess, I'll choose the option c?

Aaah, maybe I made it too easy.

Well! It's your win, so I guess I'm supposed to tell you more, huh? Well, what do you want to know?

So, this really is a different world? Wow. [Like he said earlier, it's hard to believe.]

Well, first of all, what is this place? I mean, other than it's a different world.

Unfortunately, even a genius such as myself doesn't have the answer to that. I don't know what or where this place is, but it's called Splendor, and it's kinda weird. Remember what I said about the other options having a grain of truth? I'll leave it up to you to figure out what bits are, but it shouldn't be too hard.

A genius...?

So, um, you want to say that in this place... [He thinks for a moment] ...you can meet people who died? And wishes can come true?

That sounds really unbelievable...

A legit one!

That's correct. For the most part this place is still a mystery, but I'm working on it.

Seriously?

...Is there any way to go back to my world?

Weeeeell there's no way to go back yet, but you can think of this as a vacation, no?

"Yet"? So that means, there's a way to come back, just nobody found it yet?

If there's a way in, there has to be a way out too, no?

Exactly!

...But what are we suppose to do here, until we find one?

Hmmm, let's see...! You can either find a job and help people out here, or just do whatever you please- for the most part, that is.

Doesn't sound like a lot to do... But I guess, there's nothing we can do about that.

Well, in any case, thanks for the help, Mister!
