[And when THIS beautiful little mental image pops into Enma's head via the seal, his immediate reaction is that of overwhelming anger. Not only are the current Vongola here, they've brought their equally disgusting ancestors along for the ride.

The only questioning Enma is doing at the moment is a vague, anger-blinded sort of WHY? as his fingers curl around the seal and he angrily hisses out a reply]

[This voice is new, and yet strangely...familiar. When the seal focuses again, he's left staring at the face in it for several seconds, quiet. He's seen this young man through his silent observations of Tsuna through the sky ring, and there was little doubt in his mind exactly who this was.]

[closes his eyes as that statement sends a very physical pang through his chest. It wasn't literally true. He hadn't been the one to actually kill Shimon Cozart, but his own naivete had cost his dear friend his life.]

[goes quiet for a long moment, considering Enma. The next time he speaks, it's softly, carefully, like he's trying to impress upon him the extent of his sincerity.]

I would never do that to you. I wish I could convince you that Cozart was my dearest friend, and even if my negligence did cause his death.

But I swear to you, I did not do nothing.

[He doesn't understand -- it's disgusting and frustrating and just plain confusing to him. How could they continue to lie so openly? To deny what, to Enma, is irrefutable history?]

[perhaps Enma should open his heart a little so that he could see what Primo and Tsuna have been trying to tell him all along, instead of condemning them as liars simply because they are Vongola.
