[ Kid's voice is tinged with awkwardness; he's still unsettled by having to apologize for everyone having seen his little OCD episode and as such he's speaking more stiffly than his usual tones. It's not that he doesn't appreciate people inquiring after his wellbeing, he's just not used to having to explain that it's normal for him, even if it's ( Read more... )

Of course. You needn't thank me. You appeared distressed and I thought it best to leave you be.

Are you all right now?

Still, I'm glad you interrupted it.

Yes, I am now. Natalia was able to occupy-- I just needed some time to get my thoughts in order.

Don't mention it.

... I see. I am glad, then, that she was able to pacify you. Might I inquire what the problem was?

I attended what was supposed to be a language lesson, however Miss Nura acted... [ he's trying to be judicious, tactful ] in a very over-assertive manner. I didn't want to be picked up and carried around, nor did I want to be made untidy for her amusement.

[ untidy is such a weak adjective for it, but he's trying? ]

[She frowns. Ah... so that woman she had stopped...] I see. That's quite inexcusable behavior. You should be firm in your assertion that you do not like it least she do it again. [That or avoid her.]

I thought I had been... she seemed to find it an encouragement.

[ he might be over the freaking out part, but he remains troubled by it ]

It's disappointing. The language was... intriguing.

How despicable. You should probably avoid her in the future.

[She understands, man.]

[ it's sound advice, but for some reason, it makes Kid even more pensive... ]

Ah, yes. A language from a time far ahead of my own, I thought learning it would be beneficial.

Hmm... perhaps. I suppose you must weigh the pros and cons, then, and decide if the language is worth the torment you might continue to receive.

[ he's not used to asking advice, but... ]

If I can ask... what would you advice be?

[She pauses. She's not really use to being asked for for advice either!

But she gives it some thought...]

Logically it is highly unlikely the language would be beneficial. Even if she happens to be from Earth, her version is most certainly not the same version as yours. So it might not serve any purpose.

What was the name of the language?

Interlac. She said it was used in the 31st century.

I suppose you're right, Naoto. Perhaps it's best if I just disregarded it completely.

Fascinating but perhaps not worth the pursuit. In the end the choice is, of course, up to you.

I simply do not wish to see you be put into any more stressful situations.
