[ Well, this hasn't been so awful so far. After some time to get settled into the Wonderland District - a very nice little cottage with her own room, even if the heart motif was...pretty special - and connect with her friends, Yukiko has set her mind to the other important task. Exploring Splendor and learning her way around!

This city is huge...it's hard to believe it was only run by those people who refuse to talk to us before now. They're always distinctive enough, I suppose, to be real people in their own right- I just wish there was some way to fix whatever hostility they seem to feel towards us.
[ She stops at a corner, frowns, and sets off down a street again. Usually, she'd want company to do this sort of thing, but that whole 'violence is outlawed' thing makes her feel a lot safer about wandering about alone in the evening. ] But if it comes down to it, we must have enough people here to work together and keep 'our' section of the city running. It just means we may have to learn a new trade or two, right? Not all the jobs can be as nice as working in a bookstore.
