he had only meant to take the most relevant books to cooking, really. just -- reading all the titles was too time-consuming, and he figured he shouldn't spend too much time on it. so he just picked up every book that had the word "cook" on its spine, meaning he has everything from Cooking in 1, 2, 3! to The Adventures of John Cooke in his pile.
that probably would have worked just fine too, if he didn't realize he'd probably need to sort through them before taking them home..]
