It's not any of us I'm worried about. He's mentioned several times that this place is outside his "authority". But with how this city is, what's to say that tomorrow that won't change and he believes Splendor now falls under his purview?

The locals tend to not take too kindly to violence around here. If anyone tried to take someone's soul, chances are they would be stopped before anything bad could actually happen.
