[an awkward, lingering pause, as if he wants to say something else. but he doesn't.]

This city, Splendor, has been pulling people to it for uncertain reasons. It has the power to do so, but why it acts out without a clear cause suggests that something is wrong. The indigenous citizens do not know the cause, nor how to return us.
