That's correct, I am.

[A story? This could be interesting, considering he had realized Eraqus is a wielder as well.]

Would you like to keep this over the seals or meet in person?

[Riku takes a moment to think about it.]

If it's no trouble, I'd like to meet in person. This isn't really something that should be discussed over the seals.

It's no trouble at all, where shall I meet you?

[Another moment of silence as he decides on a place.]

Tenna Villa; in the courtyard. [Nice, open and yet isolated. There he would be able to tell his story without having to worry too much about anyone listening in, without either of them sensing them first.]

I can meet you there shortly.

[Eraqus assumes that being able to sense anybody approaching is part of the reason for that. And he wonders what Riku has to tell him exactly, before heading to Tenna.]

[Eraqus might sense a ripple of darkness, when Riku steps through a Corridor to right outside of Tenna. He walks into the courtyard a few minutes later; his face mostly a serious frown, but Eraqus is probably able to catch the signs of nervousness and worry that keep flickering over it.]

Thank you for agreeing to meet me here.

[On impulse, he turns directly towards it and almost calls his Keyblade but he stops himself when he sees that Riku stepped out of the Dark Corridor. He's not pleased at his choice of travel, but the sight of that nervousness and worry switches Eraqus' expression to concern.]

No need to thank me. Is something wrong?

[Eraqus might not be pleased, but in Riku's eyes the Corridors are the most efficient way to cover great distances between places and worlds - especially when you don't have a gumi jet or Keyblade Glider (or knowledge that something like later exists for that matter). It's the most useful ability he has gained through using the darkness, even if they had almost ripped him apart before he had gotten the cloak ( ... )

[Darkness is bad. Very bad and it should be destroyed not used. Aaand, he's going to plan on teaching him how to use a Glider now. At Riku's words, Eraqus joins him by the bench and takes a seat, watching him evenly. This certainly had him curious.]

Sometimes, the most interesting of stories will.

[It's not bad, it just is. It can't be destroyed. Also, yay Glider. Though does that work when you don't have a Keyblade yet? Riku leans forward, brazing his elbows on his knee, shortly rubbing his temples trying to figure out where to start exactly, before he looks up to Eraqus.]

I suppose... Guess I should start with myself; this probably won't make any sense otherwise.

[He takes another deep breath before starting.]

My name... is not 'Ansem'; that is just the alias I assumed after I came to this world.

I'm Riku... a friend of Sora's... and from about ten years in his future. Yours most likely too.

[That's not what he was taught/taught his apprentices. Gliders do come in handy. As for the Keyblade, well, that will take some work but Riku will get there eventually.

He listens carefully and finds himself less surprised than he thought when Riku admits that his name isn't Ansem after all. He'd met Ansem the Wise in his youth, on a visit to Radiant Garden but with as many worlds as there were, Ansem couldn't be such a rare name.]

How many are aware of this now?

[Taking this calmly, and in stride. Or trying too.]

[Well, Riku has never been apprentice to anyone so he more or less had to find his own conclusions concerning the light and the darkness. They are going to have quite a few philosophy disputes on this topic, aren't they?

He tries to judge Eraqus' composition; he seemed to be taking this somewhat well, though Riku knows this might change quickly. After all, the hardest part is yet to come.]

As far as I know... there are four other people from around my time, three of who know about the time difference to Sora. The same three are also aware of my identity.

[Oh, it is incredibly likely. Eraqus has those very straightforward, absolutes. It will be so fun interesting when they get to those topics. Hopefully it'll remain civil, that Eraqus won't be irrational about it. Slim chance but! It could happen.]

And Sora is not aware of this? As a friend, wouldn't it be easier for him to be aware of your identity? Or are there other circumstances as to hiding your identity from others in the city?

[He wants the whole story, every detail.]

[With everything that had happened at Castle Oblivion, and then afterward... working with DiZ and to a point Naminé, hiding Xion, the few he still remembers about what she told him about Roxas and Axel... all that has taught Riku about shades of gray. Ansem had claimed that everything stemmed from darkness; the legends DiZ had shown him had said that the darkness had originated from the light, but which ever the case; Riku doubts that they could exists without each other. Nor that they ever intended for one to overpower the other... But yeah, any discussion about that topic and their conflicting views is going to be very interesting.]

No, and I'll do anything to keep it that way. If I tell Sora who I am, he is bound to ask questions. The future... my time, isn't that pretty. It's better now than sometimes ago, but nothing he should have to know or deal with at age of five.

[Not as long as Riku has any say in this. Eraqus will get the whole story soon enough. That's why Riku is here after all.]

[Darkness didn't always exist, at least that's what some stories say. That and it still can't be allowed to destroy worlds and people's Hearts. Of course, with the time difference between them all, it's possible that there may be... other options. Options Eraqus won't face.]

Not all details have to be related to him, just enough but that is your decision of course.

[He won't push on that.]

I am curious though, as to why you hide your identity?

It makes things easier for him. And for me too, I suppose.

[Because, of course it's to protect Sora, but part of him also fears facing his best friend - no matter what age - part of him feels ashamed of what he has become. He needs to fix this first, find his way out of the deep black dark shadows he had landed himself in, back towards the light. Into the dawn.

He sets his jaw a little, fists clenching in his lab. This is the last thing he will say on this particular topic, so please. Let. it. go. This is not what he has come to talk about after all. Or only a small part of it anyway.]
