Form 008 - Policies Regarding the Deceased - [voice]

Jan 11, 2011 20:26

Speaking with more and more of you, I have found I am not the only one who has authority dealing with souls. If you could all appease my curiosity, how is death handled in the world you come from?

What is your authority based on?

It is my profession. I am a Death God.

[a beat.]

No such thing has revealed itself as such and been proven true.

Admittedly, I cannot prove my abilities to you. I am not permitted to reap souls in this area. Though, I can assure you I would not lie about such a thing.

Handled? You mean what people do with the bodies? Or d'you mean how they... deal with it?

I am not interested in the emotions attached. Simply, how are the deceased depicted after their death?

[A long pause as he tries to figure out what that means.]

Paintings an' photos?

The souls are placed into paintings and photos? That is certainly an odd ritual.

[Doesn't realize that Bambi misunderstood him. He figures anything must be plausible with all these different worlds being discovered.]

[ Kid is just listening. He still doesn't know what to make of you, Mr Spears. But feel free to have the Seal give him away. ]

I'm curious. This is the second time you've mentioned such restrictions. Whose authority do you operate under?

Upper management has assigned me to England's London branch. Unless assigned elsewhere, I am only authorized to work within that region.

They......die and stay dead, I guess. Normally.

Normally? Have there been cases otherwise?

[It may not be visible through the seal, but he's totally fidgeting.]

I, uh. Died once.

And then got better.

Reincarnation. You must have been worth saving, then.

...Souls?

[The mention of death automatically peaks Julius' interest.]

Yes. Do you have any information regarding how they are dealt with after passing?

...Perhaps. What's a soul, though?

[It could just be a misnomer... Was he talking about a "role", maybe?]

It is a mortal's inner essence that deems them to be alive or otherwise.
