[In a room in Tenna Villa, a certain small child is curled up on his bed. His face is buried in his pillow as tears leak down his face and sobs are pulled from him. He'd said he wouldn't cry. He'd said so. But now, Seifer's missing again and there's no doubt about it: he's gone. Aqua and Seifer both within a few days of each other. He can't help it

[Lexaeus' voice is quiet and calm, almost soothing. A farce, but he manages well enough.]

Have you been eating well? [He can guess what this is all about.]

[Riku is leaning right next to his door, listening to the sobs and the transmission and feeling so terribly torn. He wants nothing more than to walk in and comfort his shrunken best friend, but considering their last conversation and all the half truths Lexaeus has spilled, he isn't so sure if that's a good idea.

However after a while he decides that things between them really can't get much worse than they are right now and he has to try at least. For Sora's sake. And perhaps also a bit for his own. Hesitantly he opens the door - not even bothering with knocking; he doesn't want to be send away before he had a chance to talk with the kid - and walks over to the bed, sitting down beside Sora, careful to leave a little bit of space between them.]

[Sora peeks up only enough to see who it is. Oh. Ansem. He buries his face in his pillow again.]

[Riku sighs and combs through his hair with his hand; it still hurts that Sora believes Lexaeus over him... though he supposes it's understandable - he has presented himself as a stranger to Sora, has purposefully denied his own name and given another and now with both Aqua and Terra gone, there are only three persons left in this world, who know his true name and only one of them can be counted as friend. He is so tired of the pretense, so unsure whether he should drop it or pull through - there are many, many undeniable advantages of just dropping the mask, but... Sora would ask him why and what happened... and that is one conversation he wanted to spare the five years old.

He just looks over to the kid, not giving any sign that he will move from where he's sitting any time soon.]

Was he so convincing that my side of the story is really not worth listening to?
