So late everywhere ide... heartscrepes June 14 2011, 01:59:56 UTC
Yuri stepped up to the castle doors and turned back to make that Luke was following him still. He didn't have Repede around to herd the little speeding blur so he had to be on his toes with this one.

"Come on Luke, we're almost there." He called, waving him over a bit as he opened the doors. "You'll like it in here, plenty of places for hide and seek."

Too many he thought, but, castles are castles. It'll help wear Luke out so he can eat then go to sleep at least.

Actually chronologically it would've happened yesterday so not that late... youngest10yrold June 14 2011, 06:59:17 UTC
Luke had actually slowed down a little at the stairs leading up to the castle because, well, stairs were a new thing. There were some at Asch's house, but Asch tended not to like it if he hung around them, for some reason... Nagisa had had steps going up to her house though, so between Asch's and her house, he'd gotten practice.

So Luke was slowly ascending the shallow steps leading up to Arborn Castle by lifting one foot high into the air, and setting it on the next step, stepping forward to reach the next one and lifting the next foot high into the air again and putting it on the next step. His arms were flung out in the air to keep himself steady, and when he finally mounted the top stair, he lifted them high into the air, crying, "I di'it!"

Yuri watched Luke as he tackled the stairs and couldn't help but laugh a little at the sight. He must not have been used to them to walk like that up the stairs. It was amusing and a little bit cute, he'll admit. When Luke had finally gotten up, the swordsman clapped a bit.

"Congrats, Luke. The stairs were no match for you, huh?" Yuri asked, placing his hand on Luke's head and giving his hair a little ruffle. Give praise when praise is due, right? "You think you can take on a few more?"

Yuri led the little guy into the castle, where, well, it was huge inside, with a lot more stairs going up and up. Before he started to head for his spare room - his other one still not fully livable yet - he paused and looked back at Luke, giving him a grin.

"Unless of course, someone's in the mood for a meal?"

So many words... but there was no mistaking the sentiment behind a head ruffle. Luke giggled and instinctively ducked his head a little. The fact of the matter was that, aside from what was needed to help Luke learn how to stand and walk and learn general motor skills, he had never gotten much in the way of physical contact back at the manor, what with it being discouraged among the servants and his mother being sick and his father never being the most affectionate of people. But he liked stuff like this... it felt good.

He stared in awe though, at all those stairs. Whoa... that was a lot... He frowned a bit in puzzlement at Yuri's question, though. Meal... did he know that word...? It sounded familiar... And it wasn't a bad thing, he was at least sure of that, so he nodded.

For hunger itself... he wasn't that hungry yet. He would have been more cranky if he was. But if Yuri were to offer him something to eat, he probably wouldn't turn it down.
