Paul had actually been getting settled in at his new estate. With that many rooms, he doubted he was actually going to be alone. Among the bedrooms--he counted around ten--, he picked the one closest to an exit. How embarrassing it would be if he got lost trying to leave!

Right now, he was working on constructing a mental map for his own sake. Always gotta be one step ahead of everyone! What sort of roommates will Paul run into on this exciting trip throughout the estate?

[Still walking around the place, he thought no one was in at the moment. Wouldn't hurt to take a look around. Might find something interesting. Though, taking a first step out of his room he saw Paul. Now how to make a first impression ... ah time to be normal for a change.]

Ah... hey. You're living here too?

Oh, joy! A roommate! How fun and exciting!

However, Paul does not harbor emotions such as glee and giddiness. He made a note that that room was an occupied bedroom and roughly replied to his new housemate.

"Obviously."

[Oh, he's so full of happiness, He thinks this will be such a loving relationship. One way or the other it'll be interesting.]

So ... my name's Decus. What about yours?

Yes, such a lovely friendship it will be! Just look at how exciting he is!

"Paul."

... Okay, so he wasn't the most interesting person in the world. It's not like he's trying to be either. He showed no interest in wanting to continue the conversation. However, everyone knows that's the best time to bug him some more!

[It was times like these that ice breakers were needed. Did he have one? Maybe ... would it work ... who knows.]

So, uh ... how much have you learned about this place so far? Maybe I know something you don't and vice versa.

Why yes, Paul had certainly done some exploring. Not to mention he practically memorized the map when he first arrived. He supposed he could share some information.

"There are six districts throughout the city, all with different types of housing. The sea is to the east and south while the mountains are north and west. To the north is a forest. There appears to be extreme climate changes between each of these districts for reasons unknown." He could go on, but it's probably stuff Decus already knows, such as the music box incident.

[Well, with all that info, you'll get an intelligent conversation from Decus instead of a goofy one for a change.]

I knew there were a few districts, but six huh? I know a bit about the locals. Apparently if you're involved in conflict they bare down on you.

[Not that he was. Some girl just punched him and they both almost ended up frozen.]

Also, keep your possessions close. They can snatch em without even so much as touching em or looking at you. Some blizzard girl took a picture of mine.

"... Conflict?" There was some new information! Paul hadn't even tried talking to the locals. Now how would that go for pokémon battles... The second bit of information had him concerned. "I'll keep an eye out for thieves, then."

Yeah. They don't like fighting much it seems. That same blizzard girl just caused a blizzard out of nowhere. I assume if there's ice, there's fire and other abilities they have... well based on where I'm from anyway.

Blizzard girl? Why, that sounded like a Froslass! Perhaps the locals are all secretly pokémon... "That would make sense. If you come across her again, I'd suggest a rock or fire type."

[ticktock ticktock ticktock... beeeeep. Wait ... is he talking about them pokemon things that Silver had that one time?]

You mean those uh ... Pokemons?

"Pokémon, and yes." Geez, how does no one here know about pokémon except for a given few? They're all over the place... right? Given, he hasn't seen any wild ones since he arrived.
