Summary: Vanitas is in a bad mood. A chance meeting with a small child allows a reprieve.
It's a strange thing, having wings. And to feel even a bit of air under them is even more strange. He'd decided on the beach because he knows the feeling of sand. It's a good place to start. Unfortunately, he has no idea how flying works. So he flaps his wings and only awkwardly lifts off, falling to the sand moments later. The action is repeated, over and over, even though he's getting a few bruises from his efforts.
It doesn't matter. He's determined to fly.
