In Need of a Distraction

Sometimes the brain's capacity to hold useless information and observations is a hindrance.  We need to empty them or risk spending the day channeling Dr. Tony Hill (Wire in the Blood), mumbling like caged mental patients.  Or is that just me?

Babble, babble, babble.

My headaches have returned along with an insatiable craving for cheeseburgers.  I don't think the two are related but less random things have been known to happen in the cosmos.

I am in semi-desperate need of money.  I made an assinine mistake this weekend in the attempt to get caught up.  I followed a link from the email my car insurance provider sent in order to renew my next 6-month policy.  In the process I managed to accidentally make an early payment for that policy.  Luckily, it was only for the first month's installment, not the full amount.  However, even though I contacted them IMMEDIATELY, demanding a refund, and was sent an instant we-will-respond-to-your-problem-in-24-hrs email, I didn't get a REAL response until TODAY (72+ hrs after the fact).  In that email the responder restated what I had written to them, but phrased it in such a way as to make it seem like they were updating me with the obvious.  She let me know she had submitted the problem to the accounting department who would process the request within the next TWELVE em-effing days.

I would love to threaten canceling my policy renewal but they actually do offer the best deal and coverage for my situation.  Sons of botches.

In other news, I am hungry.  I only report this fact as it is preventing me from putting more than a few simple sentences together.  I keep getting distracted.  It took me a full minute to write that sentence.  I guess I should have eaten breakfast.  Grar.  Sadly, it will be lunchtime soon but we've only JUST received the day's letters for processing.

This day wants to hurt me.  My tummy is against me.  I need something else to occupy my mind.  Help, universe.  Help!
