Well hello there.

Yes, I know, I'm a ghost of the past. But you see, the more time passes the harder it becomes to return to LJ. Well, and I'm also utterly without free time. For instance, right now there is something else I really should be doing... but I'm not doing it. I'm too distracted.

Right now, across the street from where I sit typing this entry, the Seattle Seahawks are winning a football game against the Dallas Cowboys. When the Seahawks do something good, my windows shake from the screaming. No, I can't see the game. But I can see a scoreboard, the ball when it flies in just the right place (I caught it in the corner of my eye -- thought it was a bird), and about 40% of the fans. And those fans are behaving like morons. But isn't that the point of sportsfandom? An excuse to behave like a complete idiot? Some people mime, others line dance, blindly follow fashion trends, or sing karaoke, but these folks I'm looking at right now? They paint their bodies, drink alcohol (and, it seems to me, do coke -- though they might correct me and say it's just adrenalin), and shriek and wave.

I have many favorite ways of acting foolish. What are yours?

update: the windows seldom shake now, and the scoreboard posts bad news for seattle. time for me to sneak home before angry sportsfans fill the streets! good night.
