There's no place like home...

... for the holidays. (Not a Wizard of Oz reference.)

I got to spend the holidays with family, albeit different people at different times.

Elam and Kim were sick on the 23rd for Nana's Christmas gathering.

Got to exchange gifts with Jason and Heather's group on Christmas Eve. This was a rip-roarin' time.

Then on Christmas Day, Mama, Daddy and I exchanged gifts, and went to Wendy and J.T.'s for dinner (something between lunch and supper, although I ate again when I got back to Mama and Daddy's so... lunch.) Elam was still sick, but we played some board games with Alden (who left part way through, leaving just adults playing Clue Junior and Ticket to Ride: First Journey.

Today I got to see Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker with Wendy's entire gang, although I was on a separate row from them. It was worth seeing, even though I missed Episode VIII. (It turns out they have a handy scrolling thing at the beginning that briefs you on the situation.)

Wendy's group and Jason's group have yet to exchange gifts, which they may or may not do next weekend, for which I may or may not join them. (Either way I'm not buying any more gifts, nor expecting any.)

Now I have Cincinnati chili on simmer and am preparing to watch Clemson play Ohio State in the CFP semifinal. LSU is currently beating Oklahoma handily in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
