Simpsons: Bart
Nope! A hint: He's my favorite mainly because of the insane quotes.

Newsradio: Dave
Yep! One of the best straight men in sitcom history as far as I'm concerned, and that helped make the show the joy that it was.

Farscape: John
Yep! I actually figured people would get this wrong because I believe I was a bigger fan of D'Argo back in the day, but over time John has taken the crown.

Discworld: Death
Okay, honestly, there are at least five characters that I could have given this to, but when you get right down to it, what's the first thing I look for when I get a new Discworld book? That's right, sentences in all caps. That's three for you.

HHG: Marvin (or possibly Zaphod)
Wrong on both guesses! Although I can see why you'd say either one.

Peanuts: Charlie Brown (or maybe Lucy)
Charlie Brown is an excellent guess. It's wrong, but he's definitely my #2 and my appreciation for him has only grown over the years. Mostly because I live a largely Charlie Brownish existence.

3 for 6, though! Not bad!

I actually don't know The Simpsons well enough to guess...I basically know the names of the Simpson nuclear family, and after that I got nothin'. (Most of these responses were of the "hey, I know some character names from that!" variety, actually...)

This one, on the other hand, I knew without a doubt had to be your favorite. ;) (He's mine, too. Actually, all the ones I got right are mine as well, although John probably shares the crown with Aeryn.)

Well, who doesn't, really?

Wrong on both guesses! Although I can see why you'd say either one.Hmmm. It's been a while since I've read it. (Although I should get on ( ... )

I also have a lot of love for Bill and Jimmy but, come on... Dave.

Hmmm. It's been a while since I've read it. (Although I should get on that, since I'm teaching it next semester.) Ford Prefect, perhaps?

Third time's the charm! Zaphod starts to get on my nerves by Life, the Universe, and Everything, and I think I appreciate Marvin more as a running joke than as a character. So it really comes down to Arthur and Ford for me, and Ford's just funnier. I also think So Long and Thanks for All the Fish influences me here, since that's my least favorite of the books and Ford is still really good in it.

Awww. Hmmm...Linus? The dude who plays the piano? (Again with the not really knowing character names here.)

Linus it is! This despite the fact that he's the relatively preachy kid in the cartoons. I still have to like the kid with the blanket.

Yep! Although depending on the day, sometimes Michael takes the top spot. Kind of like Dave on NewsRadio, I appreciate a solid straight man in the middle of this much insanity.

But as a fan of running jokes, the guy who manages to pull off thirty catchphrases in just about every episode has to win. Come on!

Prequels: NO! Especially with him being a punk in ROTS.

Original Flavor: NO! Any favorite character of mine is SW must have something that Han simply lacks.

EU: YES! Zayne's a close second but holy crap, the degree to which I glee about anything Kyle related means it's no contest.
