Jesus, it's been a long time since I posted here. A grueling mess of life. Fortunately, I think after June, things will get markedly better. (Looks frantically for wood to knock on.) New job--back to energy consulting editing, which I've loved in the past--starts next week. Bunch of theatres around the country are considering my work, but the only thing I have scheduled is Chris Harder, my co-author and performer of "The Centering" is taking it to the Boulder Fringe Festival in August. Meanwhile, slowly gearing up for writing again...it's been a long dry spell, probably because of said life stuff (I moved my aging mother to Portland, but it's too long a saga to go into here). Recently took a vacation--an honest-to-God vacation--in California for a week, drove up the coast on Highway 1/101. Stopped at Point Lobos, where photographer Edward Weston, one of my heros/influences, shot his work. Beautiful beyond belief. The garden's looking great this year (picture below). And everyone seems to be surviving.
Also, if you want to pass the word around, if you know someone who's worked either as a military recruiter or as casualty officer and think they'd be willing to talk or correspond with me, pass on my info. I have a new play percolating.
Guess that's about it. Sorry I've been away so long.
