Snowflake Challenge Day 2 - Fannish wishlist
Day 2: In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. 1. More Jupiter Ascending fic! I have been thoroughly spoiled by being in large fandoms. I'm particularly partial to Jupiter/Caine, but really love good character studies, and I have more sad werewolf angel puppy Caine Wise feels that I know what to do with.
2. Feedback! I truly don't write for it, but I am not gonna lie and say that I don't watch my email like a hawk for AO3 notifications after I post something. And I've been blessed with great feedback for years in SG-1 fandom, and JA fandom leaves the best comments. Also, I am a total hypocrite for putting this on my list since I'm terrible about leaving it, but that's one of my fannish resolutions this year, to be better about doing so.
3. I've had this in the back of my head for years, and will never ever end up making it, so.... An SG-1 vid to Peter Murphy's "Cuts You Up" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpz2AWu4PZg; lyrics http://www.metrolyrics.com/cuts-you-up-lyrics-peter-murphy.html). I've been head-vidding SG-1 to this song for years, with the POV of the vid being the Stargate itself. I mean, it's perfect lyrically, a fantastic representation of the Stargate itself as an object and a metaphor for so much, and the mood is just on the edge of dark, much like the show could be at times, and you can really get into all the ways the Stargate has brought the team and Earth so much, while it's also utterly broken them time and again.
