Winter of my discontent

Feb 26, 2013 13:32

I impulse bought a giant patio-style plant when we were at Lowe's the other day because I am DESPERATE for green growing things in my life, and my garden is buried under snow and I am so tired of being cold and I want spring so bad - we had a warm day the other day and I could smell that first hint of spring and it was so close... And then we got five inches of snow the next day. F you, Mother Nature.

Thus giant green plant. I'd have many more, but we get crappy light in here and well, I have a black thumb for anything indoors. But this thing, it's like it's grown just for me. The label says, "Wants minimal attention," which is totally garden marketing talk for "thrives on neglect."

Hey, the kid doesn't, so the Sansevieria is taking one for the team.

Speaking of the kid, we (meaning the dwinn) finally got around to making him a full size snowman:

This was after Friday, when I made him a mini-snowman:

Quentin loves his snowman!

Quentin destroys his snowman!

Quentin gnaws on the cold tasty flesh of his snowman!

He chowed down on it with such relish, it was just a tad creepy.
