Because all my time has been eaten by the 150 faculty applications that arrived in the last five days (I have been spamming Twitter with exhortations to applicants to be less stupid), looks like I'll be doing some work on the promotion case and the hiring case that are also top priority for my time at Writer's Retreat. You know, I stay in the secretarial/office line of work because I want a job, not a career. This is starting to act suspiciously career-like, damn it. Okay, it has for a few years now, but damn it, Retreat is MY time, goddammit.

In more fun news, I've decided it's time to stop buying cheap shoes. A huge sale on Clarks helped, and netted me these and these. I also ended up investing in a shoe stretcher, since Clarks run narrow for my feet.

I've been eeking out a few words every day. Sometimes less than 100. But it's still progress, and I'm still writing, and I'm clinging to that.
