Same shit, different fandom. I am never going to find a het fandom where 90% of the fic (and the fandom, to be honest) doesn't make me want to bang my head into a wall, am I? *sigh*
Anyway, am alive. Just work is still crazy and I'm exhausted and oxygen-deprived and trying very hard to make sure I don't end up with a repeat of last fall, health-wise. I'm mostly keeping up conversation over on Twitter right now because 140 character chunks of inanity is about what my brain can process these days.
I've been ripping DVDs to load on the iPod (OMG SEVEN DAYS UNTIL IRON MAN OMG) and the first was Continuum, which I watched on the plane, and standing in line for registration at Dragon*Con. Loved it. But really it was a couple of the little things that got me the most, namely Sam got to swear! Really swear! Take that, "Princess Samantha" people! Also OMG WE GOT TO SEE SAM FLYING FIRST SEAT! I mean, it was implied in the episode with Alec Coulson (Hmm. Related to Phil Coulson, SHIELD agent, perhaps? Okay, I'll stop now.), but dude, did it make me so happy to see her fly.
I liked lots of AoT, but Continuum felt much more like classic Stargate to me, and really hit all my buttons, and yes, seeing Sam and Jack on screen again together being Sam and Jack certainly didn't hurt.
