Four things of awesome and one of not.
Awesome! Magnificent Desolation by abyssinia4077. Sam and Jack friendship. Writing them may make her crazy, but she never fails to nail them. An utterly gorgeous interweaving of the history of the space program with Jack and Sam's lives before and after the Stargate. This is as much an exploration of each of them as characters as it their of their friendship and the commonalities they share. Beautifully written, heart-wrenching and wistful in a few places, and always, always true to the characters.

NOT AWESOME. So last night it was ridiculously warm, and I thought, as I was going to bed, "I'll turn on the ceiling fan!" The ceiling fan right above the bed. Which has been unused since September. Covered in dust. To which I am severely allergic. Yeah.
