Domesticated

Today started out with a trip to the craft store for yarn, and more stackable bins for said yarn.

(Actually, today started out with the rotten furry beasts waking me up at seven in the morning and not leaving me alone until I gave up at nine, got up and fed them, and figured since I was up, I might as well go to the damn store and console myself with commercial goods.)

The day continued with much crocheting and yarn sorting and laundry folding and grocery shopping (with the requisite sniping and snarking) and the big project of the weekend, the making of chili.

We defrosted our freezer last week, in an attempt to fix the blocked icemaker and get rid of some frost buildup, and a four pound bag of frozen chicken thawed out before we got things going again. So, of course, rather than just cook it and refreeze it for later use, I decided to use all four pounds to make white bean and shredded chicken chili...

Ten quarts of which is currently simmering on the stove. I'm not even sure I have enough tupperware to store it all. Whoops.
