Tanith Lee's House
Award-winning SF/fantasy/horror writer Tanith Lee died in 2015. Her house, in a quiet residential area of Hastings, UK, is now for sale. It is a detached property with a huge, lovely, wild garden. It's a very large house by UK standards, with two bathrooms and five bedrooms (including Tanith's workroom). It does need some modernisation, so is offered at a bargain price. It contains many personal touches particular to Tanith and her artist husband and it's a very special opportunity to get hold of a piece of UK SF history. The asking price is £350,000.
Tanith's husband has asked me to spread the word that the house is for sale. I know many of my friends are Tanith Lee fans and know more people who are, so I am hoping people can share this post widely and encourage other people to do the same. It's an amazing house, and it would be a shame if it was sold to a developer or someone who did not appreciate the history of 25 years of creativity that took place within its walls.
