Topic of the Week -- FENCING
FENCING
How many of you have ever tried or participated in sport fencing? Did you ever have any questions about it and never had a chance to ask? How often do you see it on TV or in the movies? Would you ever like to learn how to do it? What is your favorite book/movie in which swordplay plays an integral part? What do you think of when you hear the term "Fencing"? (Please, no jokes about stolen goods or property demarcation!)
Any thoughts? Since we got our fill of debate last week on librarygal's LJ, I thought I would turn to a non-controversial topic and talk about something that appeals to me. As always, I expect people to be courteous and encourage divergent views. Though if this becomes majorly confrontational, no one will be more surprised than me!
