Rolling in Cashmere, Now We Get the Payback
Good Lord, this month has got to be one of my sickest ever. I was
about to keel over two weeks ago when I was helping out at the Festivus
Foil event, then I was about to pass out during Festivus Epee
last night! I left work early yesterday and went in for my last
two hours this morning -- I went through five tissues in two
hours! I woke up several times and I ended up taking a steaming
shower in near-total darkness in the middle of the night, with only a
nightlight to illuminate. The steam helped dry my nose up and
relaxed my muscles, so I was finally able to sleep for a few
hours. I told a couple people that it feels like my nose is a
broken faucet!
In trying to remain optimistic... mudstang94 and michaela080 are having a New Year's Eve party tomorrow and I am hoping to go down to Indy to take part! Since they have pets, I asked librarygal if she and david_itman would be willing to let me crash at their place and they said it was all good. So, the plan is to go down in the afternoon and maybe see some people, then ring in the new year with those guys. Hopefully, I'll be able to follow through with my plans! I feel like crap right now, but am hoping a good night's rest will make a difference. If anyone wants to get together, e-mail me!
On an unrelated note, I did some random journal surfing back in the summer before I left Indy and came across specialk141's blog. I left a comment but didn't hear anything for quite a while, then she left a note here on my journal this week! Quite a surprise, needless to say. We commented back and forth a couple of times, she added me as a LJ friend, and I reciprocated! Sweet.
Please pray for a good recovery tonight, I want to ring in the new year on a hopeful note!
