(no subject)

There is a beast in me
That rages against all
That I am, was,
And will be
She’s clawing at me,
Ripping through me
Trying to control me.
I tried to tame her,
With soft whispers and
Cool fingers against
Her fur, nuzzles from
My nose to her neck.
None of this appeases
Her. She snaps, and
Snarls, and growls
Deep…
Deep in her throat.
She has no patience,
No subtlety. She’s sneaky,
Devious, and sly.
Yet she’s loyal to me,
Begging me to become.
I have grown bolder,
I no longer stroke her
Coat with the hope of
Calming her.
She is who I am,
My beast.
My Trickster.
She is the embodiment
Of me.
