Lindsey.....
Ok...so I'm talking to my little brother and he asks me if I've heard anything about Lindsey. I'm immediately nervous because no I haven't heard anything. He tells me she was in an accident and is in the hospital so I call Dad and my Mom picks up and tells me she'll call me back later...
Here's what happened:
Lindsey was driving down Kingwood Drive after school going the speed limit (40 mph). Apparently the light near BlockBuster and Nifas(sp?) turned yellow on her but she had no time to stop and thus ran it. (Witnesses say it was red when she ran it) A Tahoe jumps on the green light and thus hits my sister on the drivers side causing the car to flip. Luckily there was a fire-station across the street and witnesses ran over to tell them about the accident before they even got the 911 call. According to the firemen/EMTs there she's lucky to even be alive because of the damage to the driver's side, they had to pull her out the passenger side. Dad called Mom and told her about it so Mom immediately calls Mrs. McLean (one of the secretary's at the school) and tells her what happened and to tell her Principle & V.P. what happened then leaves her 2 aides with the 8 or so boys (luckily it was towards the end of the school day anyway). Mom's on the way home when Dad calls her again and says that they are taking her to the hospital so she turns around and manages to beat the ambulance there. So Linds, who was already in hysterics simply from the accident, is now even more hysteric when she finds out that the accident was her fault. The doctors say her knee is banged up and she has a lot of glass in her clothes and stuff and they're going to do a couple of X-rays just to make sure nothing is broken. (Mom was on her way home to get fresh clothes for Linds when she told me all this)
Now here's my vent...
WHY THE FUCK CAN'T THEY TIME THE LIGHTS ON KINGWOOD DRIVE BETTER?!?!?! Even when my mom was driving home the light went from yellow to red in no time flat so while Lindsey's light was probably yellow when she started it turned red right away!!!!! So now we have no way of getting Lindsey to her classes because we have no car and Mom doesn't think that Dad will be able to go into work late all the time...and apparently the car is totaled so we probably won't even be able to get it fixed. So my day went from meh...to terrible and there's nothing I can do!!!!!!
Blarg...I'm going to go try and calm down...maybe go read a book or watch tv...or work on homework -_-...
