Hot tubs in Maine = cozy
Casual weekend with friends = relaxing
Escapes for QT as a couple = delightful
Grey non-beach weather = neutralized by hot tubs
Being home after 2 weekends away = finally! Aaaaahhhh...
Drums of Death = if Eddie Izzard had a 19-yo Scottish cousin who liked to ROCK in gothic facepaint with a killer mix stand and an actual voice worth noting, this would be him. I kept thinking, "Awww...I bet he was probably just a wee boy when NIN came out...look at him go...so animated and adorable!"
Peaches = as unbelievable and surprising and high energy and irreverent as ever. (She touched my hand! twice! Once reaching out and singing to me! Eee!)
The Paradise = obnoxious. Left a sold out crowd standing outside for 2.5 hours past when doors should have opened, losing hundreds or more on drinks as people waited out the line in a pub next door, and really frustrating our hopes to get to bed for work at a decent hour. And no coat check? WTF?? Fail.
