So I'm taking a focus break from my online US History test. I'm waiting for Leslie to let me use her internet connection so I can send the rest of the test to myself, so I can send it from the Craft Center sometime before midnight tonight. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, found family in whatever form and remembered things to be grateful for. I know as of late I've been looking more and more for things to be thankful of. Oddly enough, they keep coming. ::smiles:: I have three rings in a gallery, a kitten asleep in my lap, I have wonderful girlfriend who loves me, I was able to see my family (even if it was only for a night and a day,) I was able to demonstrate blacksmithing to lots of people that came up to the hill for our Holiday Event, I may have a gold mokume commission coming up, and I have a job I start saturday. I've a few things to worry about but I think the good out weighs them. I have no money at the moment, I've a huge test due by midnight, I've a paper due tomorrow, I'm still a bit behind in my blacksmithing independant study, I'm running low on silver for my Metalsmithing project, but life is still good.
When I come across some money I'm going to go ahead and buy a couple of web domains for myself. BenHailey.com oh yeah, I found a webdesigner for myself.
John and Leslie are still living with us. I think they're doing well. I just saw Leslie for the first time sence Thanksgiving and she doesn't seem to keen on talking, John's at work. They're still looking for an apartment in Jackson.
Laurel and I painted the kitchen and hallway. The colour is a bit more to our tastes.
I just realized how much photography work I'm going to have to have done for my website. I finally recieved some slides of work I did earlier this semester but I need them digital for the internet. Oh business, or busyness? or the implications of both spellings? you get the idea. I suppose that's supposed to happen towards then end of a semester.
I'm begining to acrue tools for my studio. I'm hoping to build a Jewler's bench over the holidays, I managed to win an anvil from a friend of mine in a well won game of Pente. I still need a torch setup, a flexshaft, and maybe a few different kinds of hammers. But it looks like soon I am going to have right proper studio in the house.
hmm back to work now.
I'll leave you guys with a prayer written by a dear friend of mine. It's been in my head for the past several days.
"I breathe in a life of light and love, filling me up from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. I sigh it forth to the source of all creation in the form of gratitude and creativity." ~ Le Roy
Much love,
Ben
