Why Didn't You Save Me? [true story]

written at age 15. This is a true story about 2 best friends. A Christian and a non-Christian. Names have been changed.

"Come on Julie. Let's go see the new movie that came out today. I heard it was suppose to be very gory and violent."

"Sorry Max, but I have to go to church tonight. Besides, that's not really my type of movie," Julie said this as she saw disappointment set into her best friend's expression.

"Well, I'll just go with Michael. I'll see you later then." And with that, Max left to catch up with Mike in the hall on the way to class.

"Why didn't you invite her to church?" Julie argued with herself. "I should've invited her to church instead of her going to the movie. I'll invite her next time."

Now Julie never invited Max to church, let alone tell her anything about God. Max never knew that you had to accept Jesus Christ into your life to be saved and go to Heaven. She didn't know anything about repentance. So instead, she spent days hanging out with Julie, living in the sinners world never even knowing that Julie was saved. They never had a spiritual conversation. Always spoke about pointless things such as how they would do their hair for class pictures, or if they wanted to hang out at the mall on certain days.

But Julie went to church every day. She prayed to God, praised him, read the Bible and so on. She was right with God. She knew all about the devil and his tricks. She knew how to be strong spiritually, but what she didn't know was that she should have told her friend about God.

One night while Julie was sleeping, she had a dream. She dreamed that Max was in Hell writing a letter to her. The letter scared Julie.

It read: "Julie I can't believe you! Why didn't you ever tell me about God?! You knew I was going to Hell, why didn't you save me?! Julie, how could you?! I thought we were best friends! You should have told me! Why didn't you save me Julie? Why didn't you save me?"

Julie woke up around 9 A.M. sweating, frightened and with tears in her eyes. "Oh my goodness..." She said to herself. "I have to tell Max. I have to save her before it's too late."

She got out of bed and rushed downstairs to the phone. All she could think about was trying to save Max from Hell.

Well, she called Max's house, and her mother picked up. She was crying.

"Hi, is Max there?" Julie asked calmly.

"I'm afraid not, Julie," she sobbed. "She died in a car accident last night.."
