As we enter the new year, I wish to give the entire City a wish of peace and joy as January begins. In Russia, my homeland, New Year's Day is a large celebration, since the national leaders forbade religion. The 1990's...ah, not so far away. Have Russia and America stopped playing "whose toys are better" and started cooperating yet? The Cold War, I believe it is called?

Mostly. Now it's become a matter of making sure that all the nations formerly under Soviet rule become independent.

Unfortunately for some, situations are worsening down by the Middle East.

Ah, so the Soviet Union fell apart. I thought it might be inevitable, but our leaders were insistent that we would remain a great and enormous European-Asian empire.

Ah...I didn't expect war to vanish in the future, but it is disappointing that the new millennium era didn't bring us more peace.
