Seventeenth Drop: by our powers combined (videopost)

Nov 12, 2009 12:41

(Sorrow is deliberately video-posting this time. In one hand is a flyer that flaps in the wind as he tries to hold it open. He turns his head toward the screen and waves the flyer at it. He looks more solemn than usual, his silver eyes intense as he manages to straighten out the paper in both hands and holds it so that the screen can show it ( Read more... )

I saw those, and I'm definitely joining those efforts!

That's really kind of you, to offer your residence as a shelter. Maybe we could even make multiple shelters - there are so many free apartments in the buildings, after all. But I don't really know how safe they are. Some strange stuff has already found its way in here...

Anyway, yeah. I'm helping.

Ah, brilliant! We always need more.

Thank you -- and yes, that is a brilliant idea, turning old or empty buildings into safe houses. In that way, we can have a neutral zone whereupon anyone can enter and not be afraid that the residents thereof will not be reliable.

What found its way in?

Good! Mister Lockon already knows. We talked about it the other day.

Yeah, I think that would be a good start!

Well... off the top of my head, the hair monster that haunted the whole City a few months ago.

Lockon is a good man. I have much confidence in this plan, knowing he has at the helm.

A few months? Ah, that was before my time! There is so much that I don't know. Have you been here a long time?

Why am I not surprised.

Now, now, Lieutenant. Just because I'm a moralistic, softhearted old man doesn't mean that only my type are trying to do this. Perhaps there will be a time when you have need of these services.

This isn't a question of motivation. It's a question of keeping people alive, and well, and sane. For once, I don't care why others are helping, only that they are.

Ah, I might. But then I doubt anyone of this "Curse Brigade" would come rescue me.

At least they started being a little proactive.

I would. I disapprove of your methods, but in the end, death is death, and suffering is suffering. Leaving another to be torn apart by the dogs has never been my way of meting out justice.

I've been in the Lighthouse...dealing with a few matters. But as always, the ticking drives one out, and I can't concentrate any longer.

How are you, Major?

Yeah, that's one of the few ups about staying at the Welcome Center. You're never really alone so I don't hear the ticking very often..

Aside from having to deal with some idiots during a few curses, not too bad.

[OOC: s'alright. D= As long as you're okay?]

Are you helping Penny with the Center, then?

Idiots happen here. Most of them are involuntary. Also, you should assist with the Curse Brigade, since you have military leadership experience and thus know how to mobilize others when a bad situation gets worse. I hope.

(ooc: I'm fine; college seniorhood is sometimes long and arduous :P )

The temple as well...as a place like that. A safe place.

It's very kind to offer to try and help so many others.

Thank you. Though I should have seen it coming -- I -- she...

I've never been there. Does it subscribe to any particular religion?

You should come visit! It's very beautiful and well taken care of. It's a wonderful home.

It actually doesn't have any one affiliation. Since the city is so large, and there are so many different people with different backgrounds I think it was created to accommodate a very large number of different people

I would say that it centers around the religions and spirituality that you would find in the east, though.
