Do we need to talk about your naughty list?

What do you mean? Perhaps I need to add to it?

That you attacking us wasn't your fault, so it can't be on the list.

Ken's Nice List, a new addition: forgives far too much.

Fine, I'll scratch it out.

The police is back in order now, but I've been wondering...Ken, does the City need any kind of actual fighting force?

It's a good thing I didn't end up making my list. If I had, I'd still be listing the names of the people I killed.

Like organized military? I doubt the deities would let us get away with that.

There are so many ways to make that list...

Self-organization isn't something that the deities seem to attack. They never disrupted our police force, except to get rid of the jail structure on the lake. Why would they bother now? They're so self-confident that our technology and magic could never hurt them, and they're right, for now.

Honesty, it couldn't hurt, but my concern is that it'd be treated like the Police Force is. Not that I'm not used to that by now, but it's an irritant on the best of days.

Another problem would be the citizens themselves. I'm not sure they'd go for it. They wouldn't want people in charge that they don't trust or that think differently than they do. More than likely, they'd bitch and moan about already having police, so why need military.

If we wanted to do something like that, it'd probably be best to integrate it into the Force. Not quite another division, per se, but still part of something that's established. It might be easier to get budgeting for it then, too.

Budgeting? Who hands down the money for the police?

The City itself. I'm not exactly sure how it works, bur we do get paid, even if it's not a lot.

Strange. Someone made a deal with the deities to get the police force paid? Or...if it isn't them, someone else...

I'm thinking more along the line of a deal with the deities. No idea.
