Because Shentou is bored
I GOT THE GTF!!!!! I just go the email and my prof made me sweat it. Here's the first paragraph:
"As I indicated at the beginning of your interview, decisions were hard this
week; we had seventeen qualified candidates for GTFs and only eight
positions to offer for next year."
Does that not sound like he's about to let me down gently?! But NO! The next line is:
"Having made those decisions, we're pleased to recommend that you be offered
a Graduate Teaching Fellowship in English for 2004-05."
Yay!!!! Did the happy dance (literally jumped up and down and clapped when no one was here)....am in the office at school where I work so am trying to be calm but it is really hard. REALLY HARD!! Want to go home and celebrate!!! What an amazingly good start to the weekend.
I get my own class!! (singing and dancing) I'm so happy, I'm so happy.
This is the first really amazing life path thing that has gone right since I've been here. And I have to thank at_b for suggesting that I pick another interest to pursue in grad school while I'm here.
Wow, all this dancing has made me hungry...mmm food...
