A view at 2008
It hasn't been a really great year, but there were some things that really cheered me up. Like discovering LJ and meeting these great people called my flist.
Now - if you want to - see what I also liked this year. (my first real picspam, I hope it works *fingers crossed*)
There was much that I liked. I think we should start with the people that did something special or just came back into my (tv-)life) ;-)
Zach Quinto - He just lights up my life! Really! Everytime I see him, I start to smile! I adore him!!
Jensen Ackles - What could I possibly say about him, except: Jensen, I LOVE YOU!!
David Anders - First, I fell for him on Heroes and then I bought the Alias dvd collection, mostly because of him. He quickly became one of my favourites!
Alex O'Loughlin - Oh, please bite me, Alex! I just loved him as Mick St. John on Moonlight. Such a great show, such a great cast!
Rory Cochrane - For years, he's been my favourite of all, only little has changed now (Zach came into my life), but still, I love him to death! *g* He'll always be one of my favourites! And it was great to see him back on CSI: Miami, even if it was just for one episode.
Misha Collins - Our angel on Supernatural! I fell for him really, really fast. For me, he makes one of my favourite shows even more special.
Chris Lowell - I loved him on Veronica Mars, I love him on Private Practice and I love his music! Good combination!
Matthew Gray Gubler - He's such a dork! And I love him for that! *g*
Movies
Atonement - I just watched this a few weeks ago and it took my breath away! An incredible film!
Batman Begins - Just watched it two days ago for the first time - and fell in love with the whole story! Christian Bale is so awesome in it!
August Rush - What a great movie!! When I read what it was about, my eyes filled up with tears and I knew that I HAD to watch that movie!
P.S. I love you - *sings* I love you till the end... The book was great and the movie was great, as well. I was deeply touched when I left the cinema.
TV Shows
Supernatural - How much have I cried while watching? I stopped counting. Whether it's because I was sad or because I laughed, this show gives me what I want and need! Jensen & Jared! *g*
Heroes - I already loved this show when I hadn't even seen a single episode! I fell in love with it only by watching a trailer. And my love for it hasn't stopped, it only grew!
Pushing Daisies - I liked it right away! Such a bright and funny show like I've never seen one before.
One Tree Hill - I only discovered it this year and just bought season 1+2 on dvd the other day. It was on tv here but sadly, they stopped showing it only after a few episodes.
Dead like me - When I heard about it, I wanted to watch it so much and I wasn't disappointed. It's funny, sad and kind of bizarre - I loved it!
Men in Trees - Another show that I started watching this year, and first I didn't really like it sooo much, but then I started to like the voiceover in the beginning and the end and the stories became relly heart-warming and funny!
Dexter - I heard much about this show, mostly good stuff, but then there were some people, so-called academics and psychologist that said the show is really bad for other people and it shouldn't be aired. Hell! I'm sure they haven't even watched one episode before because this show rocks! Can't wait for Dexter's return on season 2. ;-)
Psych - I didn't like it much when I started watching, but then it totally hit me! I think that happened to me with some shows this years. But in the end, they turned out really funny and great!
Gilmore Girls - How much will I miss this show!!!! I LOVE it so much! It's been seven great seasons!
Into the West - A miniseries that I actually bought because Christian Kane is in it, but in general, it was a great show, even though, Chris was only in it for two episodes. ;-) It was really moving, I thought.
Private Practice - I love Grey's Anatomy, so I also started to watch this show - and totally fell in love with it! I just bought season 1 on dvd. :)
Alias - AWESOME!!! show!! I only discovered it this year for me. I had seen a few episodes on tv before but wasn't really interested in it. Then I bought the whole dvd collection - and couldn't stop watching! And when I finished it, I actually wanted to start all over again!!
Books
This was sooo funny!! Like the first book by this German author!
First, I didn't even want to buy it, but deviltrap deviltrapseduced me. LOL But, it turned out really beautiful and I even cried a little in the end.
Very long, but interesting. ;-)
I just finished it last week and I really liked it!
I've read many companions this year, mostly Smallville and Supernatural. I really like these kind of books with all the information and little behind-the-scenes stuff.
