As most of you probably remember, I was supposed to fly back to the United States on September 16. In case you hadn't noticed, September 16 has come and gone, and I remain at Yad HaShmona. The story behind this isn't that I forgot to go to the airport. It's that I changed my plane ticket. I didn't really want to talk about it until it was a done deal . . . and, though I have yet to receive my e-ticket, I have clearly missed my original departure date.
The new date for my return home is November 1. Somehow, that seems like a very acceptable and good day to travel. Maybe it's the fact that it's a beginning of a month; maybe it's just because I'm crazy. Who knows. In any event, unless God turns everything topsy-turvy, that is where my plans stand.
But who knows. God is indeed in the business of doing crazy unexpected amazing things in the lives of His children. And I am just along for the ride.
(As an aside, I am still blogging here--
