Babysitting...

Queen looked pretty satisfied with herself when she left tonight.  I guess she and Nash are going to go get some alone time.

I know, I know.  I am a little bit squicked out at them dating.  But...oh, Queen's going to kill me if she ever saw me saying so she's more his age and...she's a little more worldly than me.  That, and while I know I didn't let Nash get away with conning me, if he tries to con her, she might very well kill him.

I'm not kidding when I say that.

I gave the twins a bath and read them a story and put them both to bed and it seems that every little while or so, one of them will wake up and I have to put them back to bed.  Which I don't mind - I'm in the next room over.  I'm glad I brought my journal so I'd have something to do before I went to

...sleep.

I know how to fix this - I'm going to let them sit by me and they'll fall asleep all on their own if we're all together in the same room.  I had little cousins back in the village that wouldn't go to sleep unless someone was in the bed with them.  And they all looked so adorable when they were asleep - but then again, every kid is cute when they're asleep.  [Even Hugo and Lulu - it was the only time they ever sat still for anything...]

I wonder how Hugo is doing.  I miss him.  I haven't seen a whole lot of Stallion - either I'm always in the infirmary or he's elsewhere.

I should try to get out and meet more people.  There's lots of new faces around the castle and I'd love to say hi to them.  And call this weird, but after the battle, I kinda thought to myself that I would love to do the Queen's hair.  It's so pretty, and I've never seen anyone with silver hair like that.  You know what else I want to do?  I wanted to ask Kathy if she had any kangacorns in the corral - it's been so long since I've gone riding.

I still need to catch up with Cecile - it's completely slipped my mind, and with spring around the corner [and not high summer like we had with the two suns] the orange flowers hopefully will try to start blooming again.

...Elyssa and Ivan just fell asleep in the bed next to me.  I guess that's my cue.  I'll write more later.

kids, queen
