Haha! Don't worry, I sometimes think the same... xD
I've noticed that the amount of comments is often a fairly good way of judging how good your writing/story is. And I guess you could put a little note at the bottom of your fic asking people for concrit.
And JEEZ. If somebody gives a comment with concrit, it's considered being bitchy. Why, I have no idea. It's ridiculous.
THIS. QFT. It's really sad, actually, because that's how some fics never get better. =/
Yeah I actually decided that for the next chapter of my fic I'm going to put a little note at the bottom politely asking for one piece of concrit.
Hooray for solutions, I suppose. Because you can't put it in the Author's Notes, you know, because only two out of every twenty people read those anyway.
You do have a point there. Important things should go at the end.
But see, I didn't want to make anyone feel bad, and now the only reason I'd get a longer comment is because I yelled about it. I don't want to force anyone to write something nice or constructive. I sort of want them to like my work enough to do so.
I think that's my main point. Because when I give long comments, it means I really liked the chapter or oneshot or whatever. So I feel like people comment for the sake of commenting or something, not because they liked it.
But I digress. The anger from yesterday when I was pounding this out on my keyboard is gone.
I think I'll just let it go and be happy with the comments I have. :)
YES your second paragraph there - that's why I don't like begging for comments at the end but I do it on multichapter fics. I don't know why... Maybe I just need to know that people are interested before I post the rest up.
And yeaaaah...long comments. I love long comments and I don't often get them so that makes me wonder about how good my stories/writing is... xD

I think I'm just in a bad mood. Don't mind me.

Mehh, in your bad mood you have perfectly valid points, so...no, I'll keep listening. xD
Also, I believe I've been guilty of the "I love this chapter, update soon" practice so uh...sorry. Will try not to do it anymore. ^^;;
