This entry was written with a stolen wireless internet connection. Ehehehe.
I shall justify this internet stealing by saying that if you don't want your connection stolen, put in a password. Yep yep. That is Ling's moralizing for you.
Anyhoo, been in Sydney for almost 20 days now. TWENTY DAYS. And I've only whined about going home a few times. *proud*
My room isn't too bad. My housemates are a little aloof, and they don't wash their dishes (Grrr!) but really, they could be worse. I thought that the weather would be cold-ish here but it is actually kind of warm. The city is way, way too much like KL for my liking, which means there are many cars, traffic jams and always the random drunk person on the side of the street yelling profanities.
I've also been to the beaches here, (Well, only to Bondi...and seen my friend's photos of Coogee beach) and they are very pretty, with nice, scenic cliffs and hot surfer dudes, but sadly, the sea is so rough, all the seashells are smashed up into tiny bits when they reach the shore. (Me likes sea shells)
Besides the minimal whining (REALLY) I have other achievements. Like I actually cooked. And I go to the wet market to buy groceries. AND! AND! I went BUSH WALKING during our trip to the Blue Mountains . Hell. I think I've done more walking in my 2/3 of a month here than I have for my entire life. (My friends thought it would be a GREAT idea to take an 11.30 pm stroll down to the Opera House, and we reached back home at a quarter to 3.00 am)
They may not seem like achievements to you, but they are BEEEG. BEEEG. BEEEG achievements for me, the domestic-failure, anti-physical-activity, house-work-allergic person that I am.
Ah, enough of my wanking and on to what I like in Sydney! Shopping! Chocolate! Seriously, compared to Malaysia, chocolate comes in so many varieties, and is alot less expensive. I'm spoilt for choice.
Oh, and because it is almost Autumn here, the Summer clothing are selling for Dirt. Cheap. And I shall repeat and cap for emphasis. DIRT CHEAP. I bought 7 tops already.
Pictures of Sydney below the cut. More to come in the next update to my journal entry, when I can go online with a clear conscience, and not have to resort to connection theft.

Ah. My friend actually cooked this. See, 6 of us in the same building decided it would be a good idea to cook together. Unfortunately, when we went marketing (Whoo! A house wifey word!) the fish seller gave us directions on how to cook the fish, but she was a person who speaks rapid fire Chinese. That means half of us couldn't understand because of our limited Chinese, and the other half who could, still couldn't make out what she was saying, cos she was talking so damned fast.
Thus, our fish turned out like that, aptly termed "Fish Rubbish" by one of my flat mates. XD
We buy shoes! Seems that Aussies call flip flops "thongs". The store assistant dubbed us the "Thong appreciation Club". Hahah.
