It's warm and humid here, even at night. There are no dogs. Big buildings like downtown Toronto, but a lot more people on the streets. Food is cheap and quick and delicious: imagine the Eaton Centre's food court, but stalls are twice as small (and therefore twice as numerous) and they charge between 2-4 dollars for a plate of food, or pile of fresh fruit, or neato sweet Chinese warm puddings, etc. Oh, and these Hawker Centres, as they are called, are in every mall and on every block. Locals don't even cook really (I think) they just hang out in the Hawker centres and have their beer and socialize - I haven't seen a single bar or pub. Taxis are plentiful and cheap, locals take taxis everywhere because owning a car is very difficult here.
I've been at work every day and it's been really busy, so I haven't done any touristy things. Working in an office with people from Turky, Australia, China, Burma, Americania, etc. makes me feel like I'm in Toronto - but the street vendors speak better English here.
I've been severely disinclined to take any pictures, but I'll force myself to pull out the camera before I leave. I might stay for a few extra days because there's lots of stuff that hasn't been crammed into my brain yet.
All in all, it's kind of like living in Toronto only it's 30 degrees all year. So I'm pretty comfortable here and I've had an easy time getting around though I'll be glad to be home and see my family again. Also I miss all of my friends now that I don't game outside the house anymore - does anyone do anything regularly that doesn't happen at the Hart House or NERO?
