I hate doing re-writes.
So I wrote a short story last night. It sucks, I know, but the best way to get your foot in the door is by showing a publisher something they can stick in an anthology and not lose so much money on the new kid in town. So I'm trying.
Really hard.
I don't mind reading short stories, but I don't read enough of them to get the idea. I write a scene and sure, it's short.
But what the hell is the point of writing that short story when you know what happens afterwards and you know what happens before and damn this would be much better if it was a full length novel.
I hate it when I get bitterly upset because it doesn't matter what I do or say, it finds a way to express itself.
